On Saturday, a house in the village of Shoro in the Koreen area of Duzap (Zahidan) in the central city of Duzap (Zahidan) in western Balochistan was raided by the ground forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Five armed men were killed and five others were injured in the exchange of fire, while four local members of the Sipah's semi-volunteer force, Basij and were killed in retaliation.
A statement issued by the IRGC's Quds Camp Liaison General said that in response to the clashes that took place in the southeastern part of the country yesterday, officers from the Quds Camp of the Sipah Ground Forces managed to locate a hideout of 'dacoits' in the Korean territory in Balochistan based on intelligence and a complex operation.
According to Sipah, Ghulam Sheh Bakhsh along with five other armed persons were killed and five others were injured in the clash. In this operation, their secret hideout was completely demolished.
According to the statement, the clash took place near a village in the area. Three local Basij law enforcement personnel were also killed while rescuing families who were being used as human shields by the armed persons.
A woman and a 12-year-old child were also killed during the Sipah operation, but the Sipah statement did not confirm or deny this.
Mehdi Asghari, Azizullah Bazi, Mehdi Kohistani and Jawad Shahbazi, who were killed in the clash of Sipah Pasdaran on Sunday, were buried with state honors in Duzap. Many high-ranking government officials attended his funeral prayers
Initially, anti-government and news agencies in western Balochistan denied that Ghulam Sheh Bakhsh had been killed in the attack. Misleading news was spread on social media for hours during and after the clash. In which it was claimed that various armed groups and even the armed people of 'Mujahedeen-e-Khalq' went to help Ghulam Sheh Bakhsh. Later it was also claimed that Ghulam Shah Bakhsh managed to break the siege of Sipah and get out and are still fighting with the Sipah in the area called Jungle
Eventually, the sources also admitted that Ghulam Shah Bakhsh had been killed in the Sipah attack. The deceased have been identified as Hamid Hassan Zahi son of Abdul Hassan Zahi and Mohammad Shah Bakhsh son of Jalal Sheh Bakhsh.
The main target of the Sipah attack was Ghulam Shah Bakhsh, the son of Mehrab Shah Bakhsh. Mehrab Sheh Bakhsh was also killed a few days ago on December 29, 2021, in a drone strike at Samsor. His vehicle was reportedly hit by a drone
The Sipah statement described the armed men as "fighters" while Baloch circles opposed to the Iranian regime were trying to portray them as insurgents. However, their statements and contents did not specify which organization or under the program, Iranian forces were waging an armed war against the regime, while the proliferation of 'false news' on social media has made it difficult to believe any of these claims.
