Baloch Students Action Committee ( BSAC ) Malir Zone organized a dynamic session as part of the Baloch Literacy Campaign in Shafi Village, Malir. The e vent comprised impactful segments, including speeches, a thought-provoking panel discussion, insightful career counseling, a comprehensive presentation on BLC, and an engaging Gaam session. The teacher guests, including the central information secretary and central committee member Shiraz Baloch, actively participated.


 


A significant highlight was the establishment of a book stall under the notable banner of “Balochistan Kitab Karwaan.” The panel discussion, titled “Current Education System and Our Role as Youth,” was skillfully moderated by the Zonal President of Malir Zone Rizwan Baloch. Panelists Noor Baloch, Siraj Baloch, and Basheer Baloch contributed valuable insights. They underscored the profound essence of education, asserting that acquiring knowledge serves to enlighten both individuals and society, fostering a more civilized community. Emphasizing that knowledge is a potent source of empowerment for instigating positive societal transformations, they highlighted the pivotal role that the youth, equipped with education, play in effecting such changes.


 


Expressing strong disapproval for the prevailing cheating system, they condemned it as a breeding ground for moral corruption. They argued that such a system fails to cultivate ethical values and hinders the development of individuals who are morally upright.


 


The career counseling segment, led by Abid Baloch and Sagheer Baloch, delved into the nuances of various study courses and their significance. They urged the students to choose their career in 8th class and not only for a government job but to become a conscious human being. Students’ queries about different courses were met with thorough and informative responses, fostering a constructive environment.


 


The Zonal President elucidated the aims and objectives of BLC, emphasizing its pivotal role in the development and significance of the Baloch Literacy Campaign. An interactive survey on educational issues in Malir underscored the challenges faced by students, citing a poor education system and a dearth of institutions as hindrances to higher education for Baloch students in the area.


 


The Gaam session, expertly introduced by the Zonal Vice President Shahtaj Baloch, showcased the magazine “Gaam.” Beyond being a mere publication, Gaam emerged as a crucial initiative to preserve child literature in mother languages. The magazine, encompassing short stories, articles, and diverse segments, aimed to connect children across Balochistan to their rich literary heritage and inspire them to express themselves in their mother languages.


 


Hassan Kulanchi, a Baloch activist, praised BSAC Malir Zone for organizing the interactive session. He advocated for such sessions to discuss the educational and social issues faced by students in the area, especially concerning career choices. Recognizing the prevalent confusion among students, he underscored the potential of such sessions in fostering a clearer understanding of careers and the true essence of education.


 


The session ended with a compelling speech from Uzair Baloch, the central information secretary of BSAC. He expressed concern about the current weak education system, stressing its shortcomings on a nationwide. Describing cheating among students as a societal cancer, he urged serious thought and emphasized the importance of Baloch self-reliance in building better educational institutions. Uzair called for collaborative efforts within the student’s organization to establish libraries, language centers, and educational academies, believing they could significantly enhance the learning environment. He highlighted the Baloch nation’s potential for greater progress if these ideas were embraced.
