On Monday, the Pakistan Army with the help of its local facilitators raided the house of Baloch National Movement activist Islam Murad in village Balgatar loap District of Turbat Kech. Soldiers beat up his sister in law, brother and cousin and took motorcycles parked inside the house.
On this occasion, the military personnel tortured Islam Murad's sister in law and tried to abduct her. Due to the resistance of the women, the military personnel could not abduct his sister in law.
The Pakistani military has accused the family of helping Balochistan independence cause. They also tried to detain the men in the house but the military personnel could not arrest them due to the intervention of the people. They started to abduct Islam Murad’s brother and cousin, but they couldn't due to resistance by the women there. They beaten terribly his cousin and brother.
After failing to make an arrest, they threatened serious consequences, saying that if his family members did not surrender, the family would suffer the consequences.
Pakistani military personnel has been blocking roads in mountainous areas since yesterday.
People in the area have heard gunshots and mortar shells, but there have been no confirmed reports of clashes between Baloch sarmachars and the Pakistani army. The Pakistani ground forces also have air support from helicopters.
