Protest rally held in D.G Khan, Long March will proceed to Tunsa and D.I Khan.
On the 26th day of the protest movement by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, the Long March will depart from Gadai Chongi at 9 am today, first heading to Tunsa Sharif and then DI Khan.
Dr. Mah Rang Baloch, the leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, stated in a press conference, "For the past 25 days, everyone is aware of this movement, this protest Long March is against Baloch genocide and state coercion.
The state administration made unsuccessful attempts to stop the Long March from reaching DG Khan, but faced with public resistance and they failed to stop it. The police resorted to violence against participants welcoming the Long March, taking them into custody.
Reiterating the demands of the Long March, She said, "Deactivate the CTD and Death Squads, StopBaloch genocide, recover forcibly disappeared Baloch missing persons, and cease further enforced disappearances from Balochistan.
She expressed that the state is so apprehensive of our peace march that at every step, they are placing obstacles and inflicting troubles upon us, people are unjustly being subjected to false FIRs.
She appealed to the people of Tunsa and DI Khan to welcome the Long March and stand in solidarity with long march against Baloch Genocide and state oppression.
