Karachi: Baloch Yakjehti Committee (Karachi) spokesman has said in a statement that the process of occupying the lands of locals with heavy machineries is underway with the help of sindh police at Noor Muhammad Gabol Goth and Abdullah Gabol Goth of Bahria Town Karachi. Spokesman said that Bahria Town Karachi was occupying lands by threatening the locals of Gaddap and Kathoor and by giving greed to some people against which the people has been resisted. They are struggling to save their lands and the role of Kamash Faiz Mohammad Gabol in this struggle is as clear as a bright chapter. There is a small wall between the lands of the locals and Bahria Town, but according to the people, the Bahria Town administration is slowly moving the wall forward and occupying the lands of the locals.

Representatives of Bahria Town Administration Police and other agencies have reached Noor Mohammad Gabol Goth and other goths with heavy machinery and started leveling the ground. When they resisted, the police opened fire and shelled.

The land grab continued for three days and the police picked up Murad Gabol, the son of Uncle Faiz Muhammad Gabol, the founder of the Gaddap and Kator land resistance. The locals again knocked on the door of the court against Bahria Town and the court fulfilled its obligation by issuing a stay order but in the rest of the areas, the Bahria Town administration continued its occupation of lands with the help of its power and institutions. The occupation continues.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee (Karachi) fully supports the Sindh Indigenous Rights Alliance's rally and protest in solidarity with the victims of Bahria Town. The rally will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 9:00 AM at Noor Muhammad Gabol Goth.
